This specialized First Aid Training course is designed specifically for Deaf individuals. The course will cover essential first aid skills and techniques that can be applied in emergency situations, with a focus on ensuring full accessibility and effective communication for all participants. 2 American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters will be present throughout the session to facilitate clear communication and ensure a fully inclusive learning environment.

  • Certification: Upon successful completion, participants will receive a Standard First Aid Level C CPR + AED Certificate, valid for three years.

  • CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation): Step-by-step instructions on performing CPR on adults, children, and infants, with clear visual demonstrations.

  • Choking: Identifying and responding to choking emergencies for both conscious and unconscious individuals.

  • Injury Management: How to handle sprains, strains, and other common injuries.

  • Emergency Response: How to alert and communicate with emergency services (911) in the event of an urgent medical crisis.

  • Mental Health First Aid: Basic recognition of emotional distress and how to provide initial support until professional help arrives.
